this is what i’ve been reading lately:

Vintage Jesus by Mark Driscoll :: this book was fantastic. depth of theology mixed with that special something that Driscoll has. highly recommend this.

Crazy Love by Francis Chan :: i heard Chan speak at a youth event a few years ago and was so drawn in. he has this gleeful passion about Jesus and the bigness of God that totally carries through in his writing. i’m about halfway through, and this book is both reminding me of God’s great love for me while totally kicking my butt about how i’m acting as a christian. another huge recommendation.

thank you, previous owner of my house, for the vast amounts of bark chips you lined the perimeter of the house with. even though it looks horrid, ultimately i’m getting to spend hours outside & with my wife. so even though i’m going through lawn bags like there’s no tomorrow and i get to put on a few more miles driving to dispose of a million pounds of bark chips, in the end, i suppose a thank you is in order. thanks a million.

thanks
