it’s probably been 4 or 5 days since i’ve visited my google reader, and it’s overflowing like nobody’s business. i blame it partially on twitter. mostly on twitter. but it’s also my ‘ministry leaders’ category. there are so many leaders that i want to glean thoughts from, but i really need to cut it down. any good ideas on how to whittle down a large pool of really good info to a small pool of great?

what’s the one blog that you would call your favorite? you read it everyday, it has the most starred/tagged/emailed posts to others, you talk about the most…

what is it?

wordpress informed me this morning that they’ve caught over 12,000 spam comments from my blog. fantastic. now if only the filter could tell the spammers i’m happy with my car & life insurance and that i’m not interested in online gambling, we’d be set. just saying.

  • picked up Brian McLaren’s book Everything Must Change yesterday from my friend Eric. looking forward to reading it.
  • i bought straight up sneakers yesterday for the first time in about 10 years
  • was at the mall last night, wondering why no one ever goes there. then i heard the announcement the mall was closed. it was 9pm. no wonder no one ever goes there.

online chat

does anyone post-college actually still use an online chat client with any regularity? in high school i used AIM occasionally, only because my parents only had dial up internet (remember that!?). college was ridiculous. there were actually many times i would chat with my room mate behind me online rather than turning around and speaking. plus, it was a great messaging service to see if friends down the hall wanted to go to dinner.

the past six months or so, probably 98% of the online conversations i’ve had have been with my wife over Google chat. that’s it. between texting, this blog, and now twitter, i just don’t use online chat anymore.

anyone else in the same boat?
