two masters

i’ve decided that dealing with money is not that much fun. monopoly tried to make playing with money fun, but most normal people rarely play get to play with money anymore. curse you monopoly, for creating false hopes in us. most people will never own a property past the luxury tax block, if at all…forget boardwalk. the past few weeks i’ve been studying about tithing and offerings a lot from scripture…i’m starting to wonder how it’s even possible to question the validity of tithing if one actually reads what’s in the word. malachi 3:6ff is pretty darn powerful. it really is interesting to me how so many of us christians can say that we truly trust God, in everything, even our salvation, but we’re hesitant when it comes to something like out finances. i know i hold on to my money so tightly sometimes, it’s perhaps one of the biggest things that keeps me from faith and trust in that area of my life. if i really believe that God will provide for me, what really do i have to worry about, except that i think i’m supposed to?
