who’s pouring into you

Had a great lunch today at the Lube with Aaron Henning, pastor of Alliance Christian Fellowship. If you’re a current Penn State student, or thinking about Penn State, you have to check out ACF. Aaron is one of my closest friends, and I’d also consider him a mentor of mine as well.

A mentor is one of those things that sounds really awkward to have, especially if you’ve never had one before…or have a lot of baggage you want to keep hidden. My first mentor was a guy named John, who first really started spending time with me my senior year of high school, and he was absolutely used by God to help bring me closer to Him.

There are some awesome aspects of having someone pouring into your life – stretching you, challenging you, giving you a different point of view. It’s bearing, but one of the best things that you can spend your time on.
